During my spare time, I often spend time watching series, movies, and also anime. Especially on Netflix. Netflix has so many anime collections from Netflix's Original and outside it. I know I haven't watched a lot of anime from it but I have already watched some of them, and in this post, I want to give my short review about some anime that I've watched on Netflix. So let's begin.
The first anime that I've watched on Netflix is called High-Rise Invasion. This anime is adapted from a comic. I have this comic too on my comic collection at my desk. But the comic is not updated again and I don't know the reason. This is an action and horror anime with a story about a student who suddenly awaked on a rooftop without remembering any moment before it. To save herself, she must go to a helicopter located in another building. The building is connected to each other with a small bridge. To reach the helicopter is not an easy way because in every building there are masked guardians who have a task to stop everybody reaches the helicopter. Yuri, the main character in this anime also has a purpose to meet his brother who is also trapped in that world. The story of this anime is quite interesting and full of mystery, especially when telling the background of the characters. This anime also has a lot of bloody scenes that make the horror genre in this anime more real. Some fight scenes in this anime are also interesting. But, the character development in this anime seems too fast. Yuri who is just a usual Japanese student in the first episode quickly turns into someone who looks like has a lot of experience with weapons. That makes the battle scene in this anime sometimes feel boring and predictable. But, the most thing I like in this anime is the character Masked Sniper who is always cool-headed when facing any problems and has a mysterious and smart personality.
After I watched it until the last episode, looks like this anime will be continued to the second season. I hope the next season will give us an interesting story with a really big problem and an awesome battle scene.
The second anime that I've watched on Netflix is The Way Of Househusband. This is a comedy anime about the daily life of a former legendary yakuza who changed his profession into a househusband. This anime has a shorter episode duration than usual anime. In one episode, there are five different stories. This anime is really funny and enjoyable. My favorite moment in this anime is when Tatsu (the main character) is asked to take care of a kid. He tries to entertain that kid by playing with him. But, instead of playing a normal toy or game for a kid, he plays some yakuza games like cards, dice, and much more with that kid. Even though there are a lot of people who give critics of this anime because using very simple animation, I don't think too much about it. The story is still interesting to follow.
There is no information about the second season of this anime. But I really expect there will be a second season for this anime.
The third anime is an anime from a popular franchise. It's called Pacific Rim: The Black. Since I'm a mecha anime fan, I am really excited to watch this anime. I like the robot design in Pacific Rim, it has awesome form and a cool robot name. This anime is about a sibling who tries to go to Sydney to find their parents. They go there by using a robot (Jaeger) called Atlas Destroyer that has been abandoned near their shelter. This anime is using smooth and good 3d animation which makes me enjoy this anime. But if you're used to watching mecha anime like Code Geass, Aldnoah Zero, or Mobile Suit Gundam that is filled with a lot of robot fighting scenes, unfortunately, the robot fighting scene in this anime is not as much as we expected. The story is more focusing on the journey of this sibling to find their parents. Maybe the limited episode affected the number of fighting scenes in this anime.
I'm pretty sure this anime will be continued to the next season because, in the last episode, there is still a lot of unexplained mystery in this anime. I hope the second season of this anime will show us a lot of battle scenes of Jaeger against Kaijuu because I really want to watch it.
Alright, maybe that's all from my short review. Maybe I will make another anime review again after I finished an anime. I will write the review in this post or maybe in a new post. Thank you for reading my post.
